Renescience is the first facility of its kind in the UK to use new technologies recovering resources from waste and generating renewable electricity through treatment with enzymes, mechanical sorting and anaerobic digestion.
The plant comprises a waste bunker with overhead crane, reception hall, pre-sorting areas, bioreactor hall, sorting and loading halls as well as associated offices and control room.
We were delighted to be working with Dong Energy (now Ørsted) on this first of its kind energy plant in Northwich, Cheshire. We had to overcome many challenges to make this project a sucess. This was a heavily contrained site where we had to coordinate our works around the senstive install of the reactors in an extemely tight timescale.
Our works including the install of CA Twintherm roofing and cladding, siphonic drainage, access sytems, windows, curtain walling, personnel doors and roller shutter doors.
